Sodium Ascorbate

Sodium ascorbate is a custom pharmacy drug classified as an antioxidant. Sodium ascorbate is commonly known as vitamin C. It is vital for the health of your bones, skin, and connective tissues. A healthy diet of green vegetables and citrus fruits can provide a great amount of sodium ascorbate to the body. However, not everyone is able to get the amount they need from a balanced, healthy diet. Some people who have special issues and considerations such as pregnant or breastfeeding women, patients who are recovering from surgery, burn victims, and people who smoke, all may need to boost their sodium ascorbate intake. Sodium ascorbate deficiency may lead to a condition called scurvy that can produce many negative outcomes such as tooth loss, joint pain, weakness, rashes, and more. In particular, sodium ascorbate has been studied for its potential benefits in regard to cancer prevention, cardiovascular, and eye health. Talk to your doctor about all the potential benefits of sodium ascorbate.

HOW TO USE:

Sodium ascorbate is typically given orally, one to two times per day or as directed by your doctor. It can be compounded into various forms from powders to tablets to liquids.
