Mucolox

Mucolox (artificial saliva gel) is a custom drug that provides moistening and lubrication to the mouth as well as the throat which facilitates speaking, chewing, swallowing and may help alleviate bad breath by increasing the flow of your natural saliva. As saliva is a natural element within the body, anyone who produces less than the body needs may possibly have gum and mouth problems and Mucolox may in some cases work to decrease the chances of these problems occurring and may prevent the negative effects of dry mouth.

How to Use Mucolox

Mucolox is a solution that is used orally. As it may require mixing and specific instructions, consult with your physician or compounding pharmacist before beginning use of Mucolox. Do not take drink or eat any food for at least 15 minutes after using Mucolox.

Possible Side Effects

Seek medical attention if any of the following severe allergic reactions occur: Severe Allergic Reactions:

  • Rash
  • Hives
  • Itching

Contraindications

Consult with your physician before beginning use of Mucolox if any of the following apply to you: If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy or are currently breast feeding or planning to begin breast feeding. If you are currently taking any medications, custom drugs, or supplements of any kind. If you are allergic to any medicines or foods.
