Antipyrine

Antipyrine is a pharmacy medicine used to decrease or eliminate swelling, pain, and inflammation in the ear. It is also prescribed as an agent to soften built up ear wax and aid in its removal. Antipyrine is not an antibiotic and as such only relieves problems associated with the ear but will not cure an infection. If infection is suspected, your physician should guide you to an appropriate antibiotic to cure the infection.
