Sterile Compounding

At Fusion Rx Compounding Pharmacy, we can compound sterile ophthalmic preparations in our certified state-of-the-art sterile room. Our sterile compounding room contains an ISO 7 prep area and ISO 5 hood and meets all of the USP 797 guidelines. Our pharmacist has been certified in aseptic technique and performs all sterile compounding with the utmost care, from proper compounding technique and preparation, to storage and handling of chemicals, to rigorous cleaning and periodic testing of the clean room itself. Sterility testing is done in house and orders are released 3 days after being incubated in TSB, unless it is an emergency when we compound antibiotics using a sterile injection vial. Potency testing is done at an independent lab using the skip lot method.

Our compounding pharmacy can compound sterile ophthalmic drops, ointments, sprays, injections and pre-op solutions, including anesthetics, antibiotics, antioxidants, antivirals, cataract therapies, corticosteroids, decongestants, miotics, mydriatics, and lubricants.
