Local Pharmacist Creates Customized Medications at Fusion Rx Compounding Pharmacy

Fusion Rx is a 1000 square-foot compounding only pharmacy, located on 3679 Motor Ave #305 in Los Angeles, CA specializing preparing medications to meet unique prescribe and patient needs.  The pharmacy features a USP 797 clean room, where we can custom create sterile products such as injections, ophthalmics and intravenous solutions to meet each individuals personal needs and provides other special services, including saliva testing, hormone evaluation and consultation, customized medications for Veterinary, Podiatry, Pain Management, Men's and Women's Health, and anything in between.  We have solutions to meet every practitioner's needs.

Working with a physician, pharmacist (Dr. Navid Vahedi, Pharm.D.), owner of Fusion Rx Compounding Pharmacy, prepares a "customized" medication in a special compounding laboratory, using the latest techniques and devices.  He then dispenses the medication in a special dosage form or delivery system suited for the patient.
"We're Bringing a new era in pharmacy care to the community," said Dr. Vahedi. "Patients will now be able to receive the type of personalized care the deserve.  We will work closely with their physician to help them pursue more positive therapeutic outcomes."
There are several reasons why pharmacists compound prescription medication; yet, the most important one is patient non-compliance.  Many patients are allergic to preservatives or dyes, or are sensitive to standard drug strengths.  With a physician's consent, a compounding pharmacist can change the strength of a medication, alter its form to make it easier for the patient to ingest, and add flavor to it make it more palatable.  The pharmacist also can prepare the medication using several unique delivery systems, such as a sublingual troche or lozenge, a lollipop, or a transdermal gel.  Or, for those patients who are having a difficult time swallowing a capsule, a compounding pharmacist can make a suspension instead.
